Affirmation of the Week

While setting intentions is an important step on our path to achieving our dreams, it’s equally vital to take aligned actions in order to reach our goals. This isn’t a one-and-done endeavor; it’s an ongoing process that demands self-awareness, dedication, and a willingness to adjust as needed. Ensuring our behavior, decisions and efforts are in harmony with our goals and desires. Personally, I encountered this realization through a project I had been procrastinating on for some time (Namely, the book series I am working on). The thought of not pursuing it left me with a deep sense of regret. Currently, I’m evaluating my capabilities to ensure the completion of this project, freeing it from its hold on me.

Especially with grand aspirations, the task of addressing them can feel overwhelming. One effective approach is breaking down the goal into achievable steps, each with its own timeframe. However, if you find yourself continually deferring action—something I frequently experienced—it might be necessary to explore the underlying reasons behind the dream’s significance. Occasionally, we might realize that the dream isn’t genuinely ours, or subconscious beliefs might hinder us from fully pursuing it. In my case, it was undoubtedly the latter. What proved immensely helpful was the practice of visualizing the end goal and immersing myself in the emotions it evoked. Every instance I envisioned it, an unwavering conviction arose, compelling me to chase after this dream. Consequently, I’m actively striving to choose actions that progressively bring me closer to realizing my intentions.
