M1 – The Crab Nebula

Crab Nebula M1 photographed with a DWARF 3 smart telescope

During our public observing evening in Emden on March 6, 2026, I briefly pointed the DWARF 3 at M1, the Crab Nebula.

One of the students was supposed to talk about M1 but didn’t have an image of his own, so I started collecting a few exposures for him. The result isn’t particularly deep – the observing site is right in the city but it was enough to capture the nebula.
