Over August and September 2025, I collected nearly four hours of data on M33, the Triangulum Galaxy.
Most of the images were taken near Schwerin, with another part added later from Emden. In total, the final image combines 3 hours and 55 minutes of integration time with the DWARF 3, using 15-second exposures at Gain 120.
M33 is one of the closest large spiral galaxies to the Milky Way and fills a surprisingly large part of the DWARF’s field of view. With enough exposure time, its spiral structure becomes much more apparent, along with the uneven patches and knots scattered through its arms.
Combining data from several nights and two different locations gave me enough signal to bring out much more of the galaxy than in a short session, while still keeping its rather soft and delicate appearance.
