    About the collection

    The whole collection is called “The light within” because these vast clouds of molecular hydrogen are stellar nurseries. New stars are formed and the remainders of dust are blown away. Only then we are able to see the newformed star in visible light. The collection is a reminder that sometimes we might not be able to see the changes in us and others. But once the dust vanishes, a new light will emerge and shine bright.

    This painting was one of the first ones I made with watercolor ink and it just had to be part of the collection as an HII-region where molecular hydrogen forms stars in the span of millions of years.

    The horsehead nebula (Barnard 22)

    The only painting in the collection that shows a real nebula. The horsehead nebula (Barnard 22) is a small dark nebula in the constellation Orion. Behind it lies a large, active star-forming H II-region called IC 434. It is approximately 1,375 light-years away from Earth.

    We are back to another fire sign. And this roaring loud fellow won’t mind expressing himself to get your full attention. Leo is a leader, energetic, corageous and confident he strives for what he sets his mind to. That’s why he sometimes may come off as inflexible and obstinate. But his joyfullness and big, generous (lions) heart makes him super attractive to others. Happy Birthday to all leos out there!
